About the Role
The Driver/Container role involves safely operating a heavy‑duty crane‑mounted truck to load, transport, and unload material containers at customer sites. Drivers must navigate driveways, alleyways, lots, and high‑traffic roadways, often working in tight overhead environments where precise backing maneuvers are essential. • Operate vehicle in compliance with WM Safety, OSHA, DOT, and all applicable laws. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip equipment inspections and complete DVIR documentation. • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, or property damage to the Operations Manager or Dispatch immediately. • Participate in required training programs, briefings, and meetings. • Collaborate with Operations Managers to improve route efficiency and share best practices. • Communicate customer requests and submit required tickets and site evaluations. • Position containers on customer properties ensuring lids/doors are secure and do not obstruct driveways or traffic. • Follow assigned routes, complete end‑of‑day documentation, and assist other drivers as needed.

What You Bring
The work environment is primarily outdoors and on a GPS‑monitored vehicle, exposing drivers to dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes. The position requires significant physical effort, including lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting of objects and equipment. • Hold a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with air‑brake endorsement and at least one year of relevant driving experience within the past seven years. • Be at least 18 years old, eligible to work in the United States, and pass DOT drug screening and physical examinations. • Complete classroom training and demonstrate safe crane operation; obtain certification where required.
