About the Role

The leader will drive the performance of the facility‑based higher‑education business, increase market share, and act as the firm’s trusted advisor. Responsibilities span client coordination and cross‑selling, representation at industry events, leveraging WSP’s full suite of technical expertise, and fostering innovative client delivery. In partnership with regional and business‑line leaders, the sector leader will attract top talent, promote an inclusive culture, prioritize employee training, and support safety, sustainability, and ethics programs. They will also optimize client and employee experiences through process improvement, innovation, and oversight of key performance indicators such as sales, EBITDA, staffing, utilization, and diversity. • Drive performance and increase market share of higher‑education facility services. • Lead client coordination, cross‑selling, and representation at industry events. • Leverage WSP’s multidisciplinary expertise to deliver integrated solutions. • Build and scale high‑performing engineering teams in the Texas/Louisiana region. • Attract and develop diverse talent while fostering an inclusive culture. • Champion employee training, safety, sustainability, and ethics initiatives. • Optimize processes to improve client and employee experiences. • Oversee key performance indicators such as sales, EBITDA, staffing, utilization, and diversity metrics. • Develop and execute local growth, forecasting, and business‑development strategies. • Make strategic, data‑driven decisions and provide visionary business development.

What You Bring

Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 12 + years of higher‑education experience in engineering management, business development, or operations, and a professional engineer license (multi‑state preferred). The candidate must have a proven record of building and scaling teams, developing client relationships, making strategic decisions, managing large engineering groups, and communicating effectively. Preferred credentials are a master’s degree and familiarity with WSP’s benefits package, which offers comprehensive medical, dental, vision, disability, life, retirement, paid leave, and parental benefits, with a salary range of $166,200‑$255,860.
