About the Role

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager by overseeing daily operations, financial functions, rent collection, and cash‑flow optimization, while also handling personnel, leasing, maintenance, administration, and risk management in the manager’s absence. • Post payments, reconcile receivables, and manage end‑of‑month closings. • Monitor delinquent accounts, issue notices, coordinate evictions, and support cash‑flow optimization. • Supervise onsite staff: hire, train, coach, and ensure policy compliance. • Oversee leasing activities, implement marketing plans, and conduct resident showings. • Handle resident complaints, develop retention programs, and ensure satisfaction. • Maintain property appearance, coordinate maintenance requests, and conduct regular inspections. • Manage vendor relationships, obtain bids, and control operational expenses. • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing, OSHA, and company safety guidelines.

What You Bring

Applicants should have at least one year of experience with affordable‑housing programs such as LIHTC or HUD initiatives; certifications like HCCP or COS are preferred but not required. A high school diploma is required, with a bachelor’s degree or relevant housing experience preferred, along with basic computer skills, knowledge of Fair Housing laws, and OSHA compliance. • Minimum 1 year experience with affordable‑housing programs (LIHTC, HUD, etc.). • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree or relevant housing experience preferred. • Proficiency with onsite property‑management software and basic computer skills. • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and OSHA requirements.
