CDL Truck Driver, Residential

About the Role

Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks equipped with front, side, or rear lift attachments, handling commercial, residential, or roll‑off routes. Responsibilities include transporting waste or recyclables to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities, maneuvering heavy containers, and performing skilled backing maneuvers in high‑traffic or tight environments. • Operate heavy‑duty trucks with lift attachments in compliance with WM safety, OSHA, DOT, and all legal regulations. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR). • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, and service interruptions promptly to Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Communicate customer requests, fully dump receptacles, and leave sites clean and free of debris. • Follow assigned routes, complete end‑of‑day documentation, and assist fellow drivers as needed.

What You Bring

The role requires physical stamina for tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, and handling loads that can exceed 1,000 pounds. Base pay starts at $25 per hour, with the final rate adjusted for experience, education, certifications, and location. • Required qualifications: at least 1 year of CDL‑Class A or B operation (or recent military driving), age 18+, legal work eligibility, and air‑brake endorsement. • Preferred qualification: High School Diploma or GED. • Physical tasks include standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, and handling loads up to 1,000 lb.
