About the Role

The Program Manager serves as the single point of contact for all FAA UPS IDIQ requirements and is responsible for controlling and coordinating all work performed, interfacing with contracts as needed. They assess the feasibility and soundness of proposed solutions to meet customer requirements and understand both the company's and competitors' strengths and weaknesses. The manager delegates project portions to team members under their influence and maintains oversight of Project Control Engineers and Project Coordinators. • Serve as single point of contact for FAA UPS IDIQ requirements • Control and coordinate all project work, interfacing with contracts • Assess feasibility of solutions and analyze company vs. competitor strengths • Delegate tasks and oversee Project Control Engineers and Coordinators • Communicate progress, cost, risk, and scope changes to stakeholders • Manage customer support, resolve technical issues, and maintain relationships • Identify and develop prospective revenue opportunities • Lead FAA proposal development and manage projects for margin maximization • Apply financial analysis using Oracle, QlikView, and P&L insights • Produce monthly reports and documentation for customers and internal teams • Stay informed on FAA trends to guide strategic planning • Contribute to product and process improvement initiatives • Communicate technical information to non‑technical audiences and educate customers • Lead teams, manage fiscal responsibilities, and troubleshoot in a matrix organization

What You Bring

Regular communication with supervisors, managers, and key stakeholders on progress, cost, risk, and scope changes is essential, as is collaboration with all stakeholders. The manager oversees support and customer interfaces to resolve technical issues, maintains effective customer relationships, and identifies prospective revenue opportunities. Direct responsibility for all FAA proposals includes managing projects to maximize margins and minimize division risk, requiring excellent financial skills to understand project financial impacts. Proficiency with internal accounting and operating systems—at minimum Oracle and QlikView reporting—is required, along with a practical understanding of accounting principles, invoicing, and P&L. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are mandatory for monthly reporting, customer reports, and internal documentation. The manager must stay current on FAA trends and significant issues to guide strategic planning and contribute to product and process improvement initiatives. A bachelor's degree is required, with an engineering degree and/or MBA preferred. Candidates need three to five years of experience managing and leading a service or engineering unit—or equivalent project management experience—and three to five years supporting government contracts. Applicants must reside within 50 miles of Raleigh, NC; relocation is not offered, though active military candidates are exempt from this requirement. The role demands the ability to translate technical information for non‑technical audiences, educate customers, and present to internal and external stakeholders, alongside proven capability to develop and maintain customer relationships and resolve complaints. Demonstrated leadership in managing people and fiscal entities, effective communication with senior executives, engineers, and technicians, and strong troubleshooting skills in a cross‑functional matrix environment are essential. Candidates must thrive in a fast‑paced, multi‑disciplinary team, manage multiple tasks concurrently, possess a practical understanding of accounting and P&L, and have working knowledge of warehouse/depot operations. • Hold a bachelor's degree; engineering or MBA preferred • Possess 3–5 years leadership or project management experience and government contract support • Reside within 50 miles of Raleigh, NC (military exemption applies) • Operate effectively in fast‑paced, multi‑disciplinary environments handling multiple tasks • Understand accounting principles, invoicing, and have warehouse/depot operations knowledge
