About the Role

• Lead electrical engineering projects, reviewing specs, drawings and overseeing onsite implementation • Execute and supervise high‑voltage switching plans, outages and preventive maintenance • Perform arc‑flash studies, relay coordination and power system analysis to improve performance and safety • Provide technical support to field teams, including root‑cause analysis, documentation, training and guidance on HV systems • Coordinate with procurement and construction on equipment testing, compliance and engineering consultation • Monitor system trends, manage reporting, support audits, data analysis and continuous process improvement • Ensure adherence to industry standards and NERC compliance, acting as SME for substation maintenance and fault analysis

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited) and has at least two years of experience in power‑plant or utility operations and maintenance. Familiarity with high‑voltage switching, protective relay systems and NERC compliance is required, as are strong communication skills and the ability to train and present technical information. Physical fitness for climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lb and traveling up to 25 % of the time is also necessary. • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited); Master’s may substitute for experience • Minimum two years experience in power‑plant or utility operations & maintenance • Knowledge of electrical theory, high‑voltage switching and protective relay systems (SEL, GE Multilin) • Experience with NERC compliance, safety leadership and technical documentation • Strong communication skills for training and presenting complex technical information • Physical ability to climb 300 ft ladders, work in varied environments and lift up to 50 lb • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital tools; PE license and Spanish fluency a plus • Willingness to travel up to 25 % domestically/internationally; valid driver’s license and passport required
