About the Role
The Laborer performs manual labor tasks associated with many facets of the construction job site. They are responsible for producing high‑quality work safely and productively, ensuring that all materials, tools, equipment and information are available. The role seeks opportunities for improvement and a willingness to learn from others, while understanding safety hazards and operating tools safely. Work may be in plant operations or construction jobsite settings. The position includes general clean‑up, digging footings with hand tools, backfilling, loading and unloading materials, stripping concrete forms, and operating power tools such as vibrators, compactors, jackhammers, or chipping guns. Additional duties involve site preparation, trench digging, installing braces, removing rubble, assisting other craft workers, and other physical tasks requiring minimal skill or experience. • Perform general clean‑up • Dig footings with hand tools • Load and unload materials • Strip concrete forms • Operate power tools (vibrators, compactors, jackhammers, chipping guns) • Prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces, and clear debris • Assist other craft workers as needed

What You Bring
Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lb (occasionally 100 lb), repetitive hand/arm and leg use, hand‑eye coordination, and the ability to walk on uneven or muddy surfaces, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or adverse weather. Workers must operate hand and power tools with proper training, wear protective equipment such as respirators when needed, and perform prolonged bending, crawling, kneeling, and other movements. Mentally, the laborer must communicate effectively with supervision, concentrate amid distractions, make decisions, and pay attention to detail.
