About the Role
The Asset Management Lead will develop and implement water, wastewater, and storm‑water asset‑management solutions that support utility operations, engineering, finance, and IT needs. This includes leading business‑development strategies, pursuing new clients and projects, and strengthening existing relationships. Key responsibilities include evaluating and implementing utility asset‑management activities such as completing asset inventories, coordinating technology support, determining criticality, conducting condition assessments, estimating remaining useful life, identifying repair and renewal needs, and making cost projections. As project manager, the lead will guide field and office evaluations, integrate enabling technologies, prioritize assets based on criticality, forecast capital and O&M requirements, and oversee the full project lifecycle from development to close‑out. The role requires directing multidisciplinary teams, establishing and maintaining client relations, and participating in marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings. Work sessions with staff and stakeholders will be conducted to develop deliverables. The Asset Management Lead will coordinate staffing and workload throughout the project, ensure deliverables are completed on schedule, track financial aspects, and adjust efforts to stay within budget. Collaboration with accounting, operational, and business leadership will support periodic project reviews. Quality assurance and control procedures will be maintained, and the lead will work with other Business Class and Marketing staff to pursue new projects, taking a leadership role in key pursuits. Mentoring of project staff, supporting recruiting initiatives, and fostering professional development are also expected. • Lead evaluation and implementation of utility asset‑management activities (inventories, technology integration, criticality assessment, condition assessments, lifespan estimation, repair/renewal planning, cost projections). • Serve as project manager for field and office evaluations, coordinating multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle. • Maintain client relationships and participate in marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings. • Coordinate staffing, workload, and deliverable schedules; track project financials to stay within budget. • Implement QA/QC procedures and conduct periodic project reviews with accounting and business leadership. • Mentor and supervise project staff; support recruiting initiatives.

What You Bring
Preferred qualifications include experience with MS Office, MS Project, and SharePoint, strong business‑development and strategic‑planning skills, a solid technical background in water‑related systems, and proven project leadership and mentoring abilities. Local candidates are given preference.
