About the Role
The Foreman is a skilled position responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical overhead distribution systems, working at various sites and potentially traveling out of state to meet customer demands. • Perform new construction, maintenance, and repair of energized and de‑energized overhead distribution systems safely. • Coach, train, and supervise crew members in safe work procedures, including hot‑stick work on live lines. • Conduct pre‑job and tailgate briefings and plan work based on job prints or work orders. • String overhead wire, set poles and anchors, and install transformers, lightning arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches, and switchgear. • Troubleshoot primary and secondary systems, replace cutout fuses, and clear faulted circuits. • Identify primary and secondary voltage, induced voltage, and properly sag and phase circuits through substations. • Operate and maintain line protection devices, grounding procedures, load‑bust tools, mechanical jumpers, and other equipment safely. • Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions while using appropriate PPE and following safety protocols. • Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools; inspect rubber goods and PPE for condition and compliance. • Obtain line clearances, manage recloser one‑shot procedures, and safely execute reconductoring jobs. • Follow flag and tag procedures, adhere to safe work practices, and complete required company reporting and paperwork.

What You Bring
The role requires regular standing, walking, climbing, and lifting over 50 lb, as well as working outdoors in inclement weather and being exposed to fumes, noise, vibration, and high‑voltage equipment. • Minimum of 5 years recent field experience with overhead distribution systems. • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. • Possess a CDL with a safe driving record and ability to lift over 50 lb. • Willingness to travel long distances on short notice and work extended periods in various locations. • Self‑motivated, team‑oriented, and customer‑oriented with a commitment to following safety rules and company policies.
