About the Role

ISO New England is the independent system operator responsible for safe, reliable electricity flow in New England and leads the region’s transition to clean energy. The role focuses on developing and verifying study models, managing the network model basecase, and overseeing generation and transmission expansion projects using enterprise modeling tools. You will collaborate with internal and external committees, create process documentation for power system modeling, and work with IT and software vendors to develop and maintain auxiliary modeling applications. • Develop and verify study models for transmission and generator owners • Control and change‑manage the network model basecase and project files • Organize and manage generation and transmission expansion projects using enterprise modeling software • Update ISO‑NE basecase with new equipment, withdrawals, and operating characteristics • Support internal/external committees and develop annual library cases • Create and maintain work instructions for power flow, stability, short‑circuit, and GIC/GMD modeling • Develop, test, and maintain auxiliary software in collaboration with IT and vendors (PSS/E, MOD, ASPEN) • Maintain and upgrade Model on Demand servers

What You Bring

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s (or master’s) degree in electrical or power‑system engineering, possess analytical and communication strengths, and have experience with power‑system analysis software such as PSS/E. • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or power‑system engineering (master’s preferred) • Proficiency with PSS/E and other power‑system analysis tools • Proven analytical skills and effective verbal/written communication • Prior power‑system modeling experience preferred
