About the Role

• Coordinate work with other contractors. • Liaise with route engineers. • Participate in engineering and development assurance to produce affordable, safe, and environmentally responsible schemes. • Conduct engineering assurance considering safety, reliability, maintainability, constructability and whole‑life issues. • Review compliance with relevant standards. • Apply risk identification and evaluation methods (e.g., HAZOP, QRA) to assess options. • Develop and assure the selected single engineering option. • Prepare and assure the full engineering assurance package for detailed design and respond to queries. • Perform engineering verifications. • Manage engineering interfaces with concurrent discipline work. • Produce and approve method statements for site works and surveys in collaboration with the project engineer. • Ensure contractors’ design, construction and specialist personnel are competent (e.g., CEM/CRE appointment).

What You Bring

Within our consulting business we combine leading‑edge practical expertise with project delivery consultancy to unlock the potential of every project. The successful candidate should be a chartered engineer or have an equivalent BSc/BEng with at least three years of relevant experience, be able to act as a Project Engineer, and possess a solid understanding of CDM 2015, CSM 2013, Network Rail handback, track support zone and quality management processes. Experience working directly with Network Rail is essential.
