Senior Project Engineer - Civil

About the Role

• Lead subcontractors, monitor performance and ensure workmanship meets specifications. • Drive project‑wide quality commitment, integrate quality procedures and resolve defects promptly. • Advise on planning, design suitability, materials and construction practices for value‑for‑money outcomes. • Manage operational aspects of delivery, optimising systems and processes throughout the project lifecycle. • Identify and obtain necessary approvals from relevant authorities. • Maintain project schedule, coordinate activities and resolve issues to keep progress on track. • Prepare status reports and change orders for senior management. • Ensure compliance with regulatory, health, safety and environmental requirements. • Work initially from the Sydney CBD office, then rotate 14 days on‑site camp and 7 days off‑site.

What You Bring

A Senior Project Engineer – Civil is sought to provide expertise within the Energy Hubs and Substations teams. The role starts in the Sydney CBD project office with occasional site visits, later moving to a roster of 14 days on‑site camp accommodation and 7 days off‑site. ACCIONA welcomes applicants of all backgrounds and promotes an inclusive workplace. • Possess 7+ years experience in civil construction/engineering on large‑scale renewable energy or substation projects (220 kV+). • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and demonstrate strong problem‑solving, analytical and leadership skills. • Demonstrate cost control, planning and organisational abilities with high attention to detail. • Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, and proficiently use the MS Office suite.
