About the Role

The Senior Risk Manager will join the Project Controls Team in New York City or Washington, D.C., providing specialist input to develop and maintain risk plans that identify, quantify and mitigate project, program and strategic risks. The role involves establishing a risk management framework, conducting quantitative modelling, and collaborating with project teams to ensure effective risk monitoring and reporting. • Establish and maintain a comprehensive Risk Management Framework, including strategy, methodology, and tools. • Conduct quantified risk analyses and build models using software such as Excel, @RISK, and Primavera Risk Analysis. • Lead technical delivery of complex projects and provide risk‑focused solutions. • Manage the risk evaluation process: identification, qualification, quantification, and mitigation implementation. • Monitor risks via a Project Risk Register and assess the effectiveness of mitigation measures. • Identify and drive efficiencies to reduce project schedules, costs and improve stakeholder collaboration. • Develop risk contingencies using Monte Carlo simulations for cost and schedule allowances. • Quantify cost and schedule impacts of risks and changes in coordination with project managers and controls staff. • Facilitate risk workshops, educating participants on roles, processes and post‑workshop responsibilities. • Build and maintain effective relationships with diverse personalities while preserving independent judgment. • Maintain a proven record of workplace safety compliance and adherence to company policies. • Travel as required to support project needs.

What You Bring

• Hold a degree in Mathematics, Business, Analytics, Engineering, Planning, Construction Management or related field (or 10 years relevant experience). • Possess at least 7 years of experience in risk management, construction management, or project management within major projects. • Demonstrate expert proficiency in Excel, @RISK (QCRA) and Primavera Risk Analysis (QSRA). • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to produce persuasive reports. • Be a self‑starter with excellent time‑management, organizational and multi‑tasking abilities. • Preferred: Knowledge of FTA OP40c and experience delivering large rail infrastructure projects. • Preferred: Prior role as Risk Manager, Assistant Risk Manager, Risk Engineer, Risk Analyst or Risk Champion. • Preferred: PMP or similar Project/Risk Management certification.
