About the Role
We are looking for a Transport Coordinator based in Dublin, Ireland. You will be involved in managing and coordinating the transportation and logistics operations playing a key role in route planning, vehicle scheduling and driver communication and fleet maintenance. This exciting role includes working one in four weekends, with an on‑call requirement once a week and when working weekends. The role involves assigning approved service providers based on carrier matrix, mode, service level and cost efficiency, proactively identifying at‑risk shipments, tracking vehicles via GPS, tendering to carriers, consolidating shipments for efficiency, handling shipment recoveries, communicating cost‑effective options, coordinating with the warehouse team, and monitoring carrier performance to meet on‑time pick‑up and delivery goals. • Assign approved service providers according to carrier matrix, mode, service level, and cost efficiency. • Identify shipments at risk of missing deadlines based on mode, service level, distance, and equipment type. • Track vehicles using GPS software. • Tender shipments to carriers and confirm scheduled and actual pick‑up times. • Consolidate shipments to improve efficiency and reduce costs. • Coordinate shipment recoveries with providers as needed. • Communicate cost‑effective transportation options. • Collaborate with warehouse team on scheduling and prioritization of shipments. • Report, monitor, and analyze carrier performance against service metrics. • Meet and exceed on‑time pick‑up and delivery targets. • Work schedule includes one weekend in four and on‑call duties once a week and during weekend shifts.

What You Bring
