About the Role

Develop and own a five‑year manufacturing strategy for the South Milwaukee plant, driving strategic growth initiatives and executing projects to meet future capacity needs. Manage capital appropriation, including budget planning and execution, to ensure yearly funds improve the facility and support growth goals. Own manufacturing routings and collaborate with Engineer‑to‑Order (ETO) Engineering to maintain accurate routing models for all product lines and processes. Partner with Maintenance‑of‑Line (MOL) Engineering to define scope of work for the broader engineering organization and work with Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Finance and Operations to exceed end‑to‑end operational goals. Deliver Design for Manufacturability and Design for Servicability in collaboration with NPD Engineering, lead root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for process failures, and oversee equipment specifications, FAT/SAT, and commissioning. Lead adoption of smart manufacturing tools—including connected factory solutions, MES and other Industry 4.0 initiatives. Lead, mentor and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians, setting priorities, assigning work, managing performance and career development. Drive Kaizen events focused on standard work and waste elimination, implement manufacturing standards, error‑proofing and other process controls. Manage installed capacity and bottleneck theory across value streams, reducing constraints with internal and external resources. Oversee Maintenance and Facilities, ensuring preventive, predictive and corrective programs maintain equipment uptime, reliability and regulatory compliance. • Define and execute a 5‑year manufacturing strategy for the South Milwaukee plant. • Manage capital budgets and appropriations to fund facility improvements and growth. • Own and maintain accurate manufacturing routings in collaboration with ETO Engineering. • Coordinate cost‑out initiatives to achieve annual cost‑reduction targets. • Partner with cross‑functional teams to meet and exceed operational goals. • Deliver Design for Manufacturability and Design for Servicability with NPD Engineering. • Lead root‑cause analysis, corrective actions, and equipment commissioning (FAT/SAT). • Implement smart manufacturing tools, including connected factory systems and MES. • Lead, mentor, and develop manufacturing engineers and technicians, managing performance and career growth. • Drive Kaizen events, standard work, error‑proofing and waste‑elimination initiatives. • Manage capacity planning, bottleneck analysis and reduction across value streams. • Oversee Maintenance and Facilities programs to ensure equipment uptime, reliability and regulatory compliance. • Ensure hiring, training and staffing levels align with plant strategy and market needs.

What You Bring

Hold a bachelor’s degree (preferably engineering) and a minimum of seven years of manufacturing or operations engineering experience, including three years in engineering leadership. Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship; a master’s degree in Engineering or Business is preferred. Experience managing large, complex Configure‑to‑Order and Engineer‑to‑Order environments, strong communication and influencing skills, SAP routing and BOM configuration expertise, and Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Visio, Project) and continuous‑improvement certifications are also desired. • Require bachelor's degree (engineering preferred), 7+ years manufacturing/operations experience, 3+ years leadership, and U.S. work authorization. • Desired credentials include Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, SAP routing/BOM expertise, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
