About the Role

The role sits within the rapidly expanding Digital Team, which supports the Water Consultancy Division’s growth plans and the sector’s digital transformation. Candidates are expected to have a broad understanding of the digital landscape – from information management and GIS to software development, data engineering and IT – and to provide both strategic advisory services and hands‑on implementation support for water utilities. The position involves working on live commissions as well as internal digital initiatives, and offers a pathway to become familiar with Mott MacDonald’s Moata platform and to shape future‑proofed services.

What You Bring

Applicants must hold a degree in a relevant discipline and possess a strong grasp of digital services applicable to the UK water industry. Experience managing small digital delivery teams, advising clients on digital change, and producing concise technical reports is essential, alongside excellent communication and collaboration skills. Desirable qualifications include chartered status, knowledge of ISO 19650, change‑management experience, and hands‑on expertise with Python, Power Automate, Power BI, ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud or SharePoint. • Degree in a relevant subject. • Strong understanding of digital services for the UK water sector. • Experience leading small digital delivery teams and mentoring junior staff. • Proven ability to advise and implement digital change for water clients. • Excellent technical report writing using concise English. • Effective communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary and client teams. • Chartered status with a recognised professional institution. • Knowledge of ISO 19650 principles. • Experience with change‑management practices. • Background working in the UK water industry. • Proficiency in Python, Power Automate and Power BI. • Familiarity with ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud or SharePoint.
