About the Role
The Senior Construction Contracts Manager will support a healthcare client’s Facilities Capital Project Management Program in an onsite capacity. The role is responsible for overseeing contract negotiations, competitive bidding, and regulatory compliance across design, construction, and specialty procurement categories, while providing leadership to contract staff and acting as an escalation point. Key responsibilities include directing the full lifecycle of competitive bidding, drafting and negotiating complex contracts, cultivating vendor relationships, mentoring contract personnel, and delivering procurement reports to leadership. • Manage end‑to‑end competitive bidding for procurement types such as CMAR, design, concrete, elevators, equipment planning, and specialty. • Lead bid preparation, issuance, evaluation, develop scorecards, and conduct post‑bid meetings. • Analyze bid submissions, document outcomes, and recommend contract awards based on best value and compliance. • Ensure transparency, fairness, and regulatory compliance throughout all bidding processes. • Draft, review, and negotiate custom contracts and amendments, adapting beyond standard templates. • Serve as primary liaison with legal counsel for moderate to high‑risk negotiations. • Mentor Contract Managers and Administrators in negotiation techniques, redlining, and compliance best practices. • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, facilitating communication, dispute resolution, and performance feedback. • Track and update qualification lists for prime firms within assigned affiliate groups. • Provide informal leadership and model best practices for contract staff. • Support onboarding and continuous training for new procurement team members. • Identify and implement process improvements across bidding and contracting workflows. • Prepare and deliver detailed procurement activity reports, bid outcomes, and contract status updates to leadership and affiliate meetings. • Lead procurement activities for assigned affiliate portfolios, serving as the main contact for procurement questions and contract issues. • Leverage data and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve procurement practices and outcomes. • Manage procurement resources to align with project budgets and institutional goals. • Utilize PMWeb, Microsoft Office Suite, and procurement tracking tools for efficient workflow management. • Apply advanced knowledge of contract vehicles (CMAR, lump sum, design‑build) and procurement principles in high‑value, complex procurements. • Navigate non‑standard agreements and risk scenarios independently, delivering results with minimal supervision.

What You Bring
The position requires deep expertise in procurement theory, contract vehicles, and risk management, as well as strong analytical, drafting, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with project‑management and procurement software such as PMWeb and Microsoft Office is essential, and the ability to work independently and manage ambiguity is a must. A bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree and certifications such as CFCM, CCCM, or CCPM are preferred. Candidates should have five to ten years of contract and procurement experience, familiarity with Vantage Point ERP, and demonstrated personnel‑management capability. Salary ranges from $102,300 to $136,433, supplemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
