About the Role
The Instrument Technician role is focused on maintenance (no per diem) and involves installing, repairing, maintaining, and calibrating electronic equipment and gauges that control, regulate, or monitor mechanical systems. • Inspect, test, adjust, and repair electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments. • Perform flowmeter, pressure gauge, temperature indicator, and controller calibrations. • Trace and diagnose faulty solid‑state components using schematics and test equipment. • Remove, decontaminate, disassemble, clean, and rebuild instruments, including tubing fitting/bending. • Conduct SIS instrument calibrations and document calibrations, parts used, and inventory. • Prepare schematic drawings, sketches, and reports reflecting instrument changes. • Work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, snow, or wind while wearing hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, harness, and other PPE.

What You Bring
The position requires extensive hands‑on work with electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments used in chemical manufacturing, including inspection, testing, adjustment, loop checking, calibration, and documentation of changes. The job demands physical stamina, including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lb, climbing ladders or platforms up to 300 ft with fall protection, and working outdoors in various weather conditions while wearing required PPE. Candidates must hold current certifications such as NCCER Industrial Instrument Technician, possess a valid driver’s license and TWIC card, and be authorized to work in a safe, drug‑free environment. • Minimum 5 years of instrumentation experience and ability to read blueprints. • Experience with low and high pressure tubing/piping systems and precision tools. • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, lift up to 50 lb, and work at heights up to 300 ft with fall protection. • Hold a current TWIC card, valid driver’s license, and NCCER Industrial Instrument Technician certification (or NCCER Plus).
