About the Role
You will participate as a senior expert in the Traction Transformer Engineering team at the Technology Center in Vadodara, contributing to global projects. You will act as a communication channel between engineering, R&D, and design‑tool development teams, develop and optimize electrical design software for traction transformers, and continuously update user manuals and technical standards. You will manage design project tasks, ensure efficient interaction between electrical and mechanical design tools, review and prioritize bug reports and change requests, and provide feedback for global improvement projects, including data ingestion techniques and AI applications. • Serve as senior expert on the Traction Transformer Engineering team, contributing to global projects. • Act as liaison between engineering, R&D, and design‑tool development teams. • Develop, test, debug, validate, and document electrical design software for traction transformers. • Create and maintain user manuals, technical standards, and supporting design tools. • Manage design project tasks and ensure seamless integration of electrical and mechanical design tools. • Review, prioritize, and address bug reports and change requests in collaboration with the Design System Manager. • Contribute innovative ideas to global improvement projects, including data ingestion and AI applications.

What You Bring
A Senior Professional (P3) applies advanced knowledge typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities may include managing projects or processes, working independently with limited supervision, and coaching and reviewing work of lower‑level professionals. Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex. The ideal candidate has 12–15 years of experience in electrical engineering and software development, preferably with transformer design exposure, and holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Strong knowledge of electrical design, proficiency in Matlab, VBA, and SQL, and solid logical thinking and software development skills are required. The candidate should be a proactive, result‑oriented team player, capable of independent work, able to generate questions and ideas, willing to travel and collaborate with other Hitachi Energy units, and fluent in spoken and written English. • Possess 12–15 years of electrical engineering and software development experience, preferably with transformer design. • Hold a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and be proficient in Matlab, VBA, and SQL. • Demonstrate strong logical thinking, proactive teamwork, independent work capability, and effective communication in English. • Willingness to travel and collaborate with Hitachi Energy units worldwide.
