About the Role

The Assistant Property Manager for Belara Lakes will maintain the community to a market‑ready standard and deliver high‑level service while building and motivating high‑performing teams to maximize property performance. In a fast‑paced environment the assistant supports the Property Manager with day‑to‑day operations, including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control and audits. They also ensure superior customer service and communication with residents and prospects, complete lease paperwork to company standards, track advertising and prospect traffic, and uphold the Cushman & Wakefield mission. The role oversees the on‑site staff, ensuring compliance with company policies, handling interviewing, hiring, coaching, and maintaining resident files, while resolving conflicts promptly to sustain a positive living environment. They manage the community budget and finances and work closely with leasing staff to achieve leasing and marketing goals. • Assist Property Manager with operations: maintenance, budgeting, lease administration, collections, evictions, marketing, and audits. • Provide superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects. • Complete lease and renewal paperwork according to company standards. • Track advertising performance and prospect traffic. • Oversee on‑site team compliance with Cushman & Wakefield policies. • Recruit, hire, coach, and retain staff; maintain resident files. • Resolve resident conflicts promptly to maintain a positive living environment. • Manage community budget, finances, and expense control. • Collaborate with leasing staff to meet leasing and marketing goals.

What You Bring

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (a bachelor’s degree is preferred), at least three years of property‑management experience and one year of supervisory experience, strong communication and computer skills, and the ability to lead a team and set performance goals. The position operates in a professional office setting with standard equipment, requires regular travel between properties, and involves physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 25 lb, with up to 15 % travel time. • Education: High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred. • Experience: 3+ years property management, 1+ year supervisory experience. • Strong communication, Microsoft Office, and bookkeeping skills. • Ability to lead a team, set performance goals, and supervise daily operations. • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb, and travel up to 15 % of the time.
