About the Role
The Area Manager will drive safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence while leading the operations team to meet sales commitments and work‑order execution. They will partner with sales to create strategic growth plans, oversee technician productivity, and maintain strong client relationships. • Lead the operations team to execute sales commitments and work orders. • Partner with sales to develop and implement strategic plans that drive revenue and EBIT growth in the assigned market. • Oversee technician productivity, order completion, digital asset integration, and customer retention. • Build and sustain client relationships through professional credibility and product expertise. • Participate in industry organizations, trade shows, and events to promote Carrier’s products and services. • Collaborate with internal teams to align solutions with customer needs and expectations. • Forecast, monitor, and document financial performance against planned targets. • Ensure on‑time performance and delivery to meet customer satisfaction commitments. • Achieve operational sales targets for the area. • Facilitate Daily Management Board meetings for all markets within the region. • Monitor core KPIs from the Daily Management Board cadence and assign corrective actions as needed. • Discuss KPI performance with leadership and prepare action cards for under‑performing metrics. • Enforce schedule and optimization guidelines and best practices.

What You Bring
Carrier Commercial Services is hiring an experienced Commercial HVAC Area Manager for the Mid‑South region. The role focuses on expanding market share for repair service, maintenance contracts, and modernization projects by collaborating closely with the sales organization. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or a high school diploma/GED with at least seven years of HVAC operations leadership, plus eight or more years of sales, operations, or leadership experience. Preferred qualifications include additional HVAC leadership experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce and SAP, strong financial knowledge, and the ability to navigate a large matrixed organization. • Bachelor’s degree or High School Diploma/GED with 7 + years of HVAC operations leadership experience. • 8 + years of sales, operations, or leadership experience. • 5 + years of HVAC operations leadership (preferred). • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, and SAP. • Customer‑centric mindset with strong relationship‑building skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. • Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles. • Strong service operations background and in‑depth knowledge of HVAC or building technologies. • Ability to manage within a large matrixed organization.
