About the Role
Estimators will act as embedded resources for client organisations or work on ad‑hoc projects across the infrastructure sector through the Turner & Townsend Estimating Hub, supporting regional, national and international clients and may work remotely within the region as workload requires. The team delivers a wide range of estimating and commercial intelligence outputs, including order‑of‑magnitude to detailed first‑principles estimates, estimating assurance, support for major programme set‑up and data analysis and benchmarking to aid client decision‑making. • Produce accurate and comprehensive estimates and cost plans for projects promptly. • Control and manage the estimating process at the project level. • Generate estimates independently without supervision. • Gather and share estimating data. • Support development and promotion of estimating best practices within the firm. • Assist in achieving departmental objectives. • Stay abreast of technical developments to provide best‑practice advice aligned with business goals.

What You Bring
To meet continued demand and ambitious growth plans, Turner & Townsend are recruiting Estimators and Senior Estimators with proven experience in the infrastructure sector (rail, highways, power, marine, water or utilities) for the North East & Yorkshire region, with flexible location options across Newcastle, Teesside, Sheffield and Leeds offices. • Qualified to high standard in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with relevant experience. • Proven experience delivering estimating or QS services on large projects. • Experience using estimating software packages. • Member of a relevant professional body (chartered) or working towards chartered status. • Desirable membership of RICS, CIOB or A.C.E.
