About the Role

The EfS MRO Engineer (Tech Pubs) role is a hybrid position based in Indianapolis, IN, requiring three days per week in the office. The engineer will define, validate, and support maintenance policies and procedures for global Civil Defense AE products, collaborating with design, repair, materials, and service engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle. The role involves researching and acquiring source material for gas‑turbine engine publications, developing and approving technical content, ensuring regulatory compliance, providing technical support, and performing maintainability and human‑factors analysis. • Research and acquire information to produce accurate source material for gas‑turbine engine publications. • Develop and approve technical content for publications used by OEMs, overhaul shops, and customers, identifying cost‑reduction opportunities. • Independently track projects, raise issues, and ensure on‑time delivery of materials in a dynamic product‑development environment. • Ensure compliance with regulatory, technical, and business requirements for internal and external stakeholders. • Provide technical support to resolve queries and operational issues. • Support maintainability, human‑factors, supportability analysis, and technical instruction development.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and hold an associate’s degree with four or more years of relevant experience, a bachelor’s degree with two or more years, an advanced degree, or six or more years of experience in lieu of a degree. Preferred knowledge includes ATA 100/iSpec2200, S1000D, MIL‑STD‑1388, product lifecycle management, and an A&P mechanic license. • Associate’s degree plus 4+ years of Technical Publications or Engineering experience, or Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years, or advanced degree, or 6+ years of experience in lieu of a degree. • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. • Knowledge of publication specifications (ATA 100/iSpec2200, S1000D). • Understanding of engineering specs, parts lists, and drawings. • Familiarity with MIL‑STD‑1388/GEIA‑STD‑0007. • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). • A&P licensed mechanic.
