About the Role

• Supervise and coordinate erection of structural and miscellaneous steel components. • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and accurate installation. • Oversee daily steel field operations, monitoring labor productivity, equipment usage, and safety compliance. • Conduct inspections to verify tolerances, alignments, and connections, ensuring quality standards and code compliance. • Develop and maintain short‑term and long‑term schedules for steel activities aligned with overall project timelines. • Enforce site safety protocols, promote a strong safety culture, and ensure OSHA and company standards are met. • Identify and resolve field issues such as clashes, fabrication errors, or design discrepancies. • Maintain daily reports, logs, and inspection records, tracking progress and documenting delays or issues. • Serve as liaison between field crews, project management, and design teams for steel construction activities.

The company seeks an experienced Superintendent with a strong background in structural and miscellaneous steel erection, capable of coordinating with fabricators, erectors, and other trades while ensuring compliance with specifications, safety standards, and schedules. Candidates should have at least seven years of civil or structural construction experience focused on steel work, proven leadership as a superintendent or foreman, and deep knowledge of steel systems, drawings, welding, bolting, and AISC standards. Preferred qualifications include OSHA 30 certification, NCCER or similar steel‑erection credentials, and proficiency with construction management software. • Possess at least 7 years of civil/structural construction experience with a focus on steel erection. • Demonstrated experience as a superintendent or foreman on steel‑intensive projects. • In‑depth knowledge of structural steel systems, drawings, welding, bolting, and AISC standards. • Ability to read and interpret structural and shop drawings, specifications. • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. • OSHA 30 certification preferred; NCCER or other steel‑erection certifications a plus. • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite. • Experience coordinating steel with concrete and other trades on complex civil infrastructure projects. • Familiarity with working alongside union and non‑union labor forces.
