About the Role
The primary purpose of this role is to make deliveries to customer job sites while adhering to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety procedures. You will load inventory onto the truck, transport products, supplies, and equipment, and unload them at the customer site, often handling complex pickups such as night deliveries or hazardous materials. In this position you will operate trucks to pick up and deliver items, serve as the main point of contact with customers at delivery, and perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections in line with DOT guidelines. You must also report any vehicle defects, accidents, or traffic violations, fuel the truck as needed, and resolve any customer service issues that arise. The role requires planning routes to and from customer locations, adjusting for traffic or construction, and ensuring that manifests are complete and accurate. You may also assist warehouse staff with pulling and preparing orders, as well as receiving, verifying, staging, and stocking incoming material. • Deliver products to customers and assist with unloading • Serve as the primary interface with customers at the point of delivery • Load and unload the truck with daily deliveries • Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip DOT inspections and report any defects • Fuel the truck as needed and maintain vehicle logs and bill of lading records • Resolve customer service issues promptly • Comply with all DOT standards and regulations • Plan and adjust delivery routes for traffic and construction • Ensure manifests are complete and accurate • Assist warehouse staff with order preparation, receiving, verification, staging, and stocking • Handle complex pickups, including night deliveries and hazardous materials • Maintain safety by following DOT and internal safety procedures

What You Bring
Work is typically performed in a comfortable environment but includes exposure to temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes. Intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion are required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting heavy or awkward items, with occasional overnight travel comprising less than 10% of the time. A high school diploma or GED is strongly preferred, and specialized skills training or certification may be required. Generally, candidates have 2‑5 years of experience in a similar role.
