About the Role

In this role you will be accountable for several maintenance requirement or optimisation investigations at any one time, gathering data from the team and relevant Design Authorities within the SDA. You will drive each investigation to a successful conclusion and work as a key contributor in the JPET Scrum‑Agile team, using Azure DevOps for work management and planning. • Conduct and lead multiple maintenance requirement optimisation investigations concurrently. • Gather and analyse data from team members and Design Authorities within SDA. • Deliver outcomes that demonstrate maintenance improvements or validate existing practices. • Collaborate in a Scrum‑Agile JPET using Azure DevOps for planning and work management. • Apply mechanical, electrical or safety engineering expertise to challenge and develop maintenance requirements. • Work on‑site three days a week at the Babcock Technology Centre in Bristol. • Obtain or transfer a Security Check clearance with Rolls‑Royce support.

What You Bring

Candidates should have experience in the UK Submarines enterprise (Navy, MOD or prime industry partners) and a background in mechanical, electrical or safety engineering. A solid understanding of NSRP safety cases, an investigative mindset, experience with Azure DevOps and strong report‑writing skills are essential. A Security Check clearance is required; Rolls‑Royce will support the application if you do not already have one. Applicants must be UK nationals or, in MoD‑approved cases, dual nationals.
