Substation Coordinator/EIT
Prepare designs, calculations, and drawings for HV/LV substations under senior engineer guidance.
Job Highlights
About the Role
• Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, analyses, reports, and designs for low, medium, and high voltage substations under senior supervision. • Assist in protection and control (indoor) and physical (outdoor) design aspects of high‑voltage substations. • Work under direction of project managers and engineers to produce design sketches, redline drawings, and calculation documentation. • Collaborate with designers and CAD technicians to develop drawings that meet national standards, safety codes, and project specifications. • Create one‑line diagrams, protection/control schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA and communications layouts, material lists, conduit and cable routing, and perform AC/DC system calculations and grounding design. • Perform other assigned tasks supporting substation projects.

What You Bring
• Travel on short‑term assignments (1‑5 days) and occasionally on longer‑term project assignments as needed. • Obtain Engineer in Training (EIT) certification within 12 months. • Possess or be willing to develop experience in electrical utility, consulting, or substation design. • Proficiency with MicroStation and AutoCAD is a plus. • Willingness to learn electrical design software such as SKM PowerTools, ETAP, or EasyPower. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
