Underground Miner/ Equipment Operator
Operate underground mining equipment, handle blasting, and maintain safety in a hard‑rock mine.
Job Highlights
About the Role
• Operate a face drill and/or roof bolter in an underground hard‑rock mine. • Drive a wheel loader in confined spaces to muck headings and load haul trucks. • Run a scaler or excavator with scaler attachment to remove rock from mine walls. • Work with explosives and manage the blasting process to support production. • Perform general quarry duties and other assigned tasks as needed. • Conduct daily pre‑ and post‑operation inspections with proper documentation. • Follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA/environmental regulations for safe work practices.

What You Bring
• Maintain at least one year of experience operating underground mining equipment. • Possess or obtain a valid Tennessee Explosive Handlers Card or Blasting Permit. • Demonstrate precision operation of equipment in confined underground spaces. • Adapt quickly to new tasks and work overtime or weekends when required. • Work effectively in all weather conditions and tolerate loud noise environments. • Be self‑motivated and capable of working without close supervision. • Pass a pre‑employment drug screening.
