About the Role
We are recruiting a Principal Consultant – Water based in Adelaide. You will lead client projects and help grow our Water sector offering, applying knowledge of asset management frameworks, water industry challenges and sector‑specific assets. You will manage consultancy projects ranging from technical advisory work to large‑scale transformational programmes, identify and deliver work for water sector clients, and contribute to strategy, new opportunities and team development. Locally, you will be part of a small, flexible team and play a leadership role in client delivery, strategy shaping and mentoring. As part of the global AMCL and Turner & Townsend network, you will collaborate worldwide, contribute to thought leadership and develop new services for local water markets. • Lead client projects and expand the Water sector offering. • Deliver consultancy work from technical advisory to large‑scale transformation programmes. • Identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities with water sector clients. • Shape strategy, uncover new market opportunities, and mentor junior team members. • Collaborate with global AMCL and Turner & Townsend colleagues on thought leadership and service development. • Maintain strong professional networks through active industry engagement.

What You Bring
A degree in engineering, business, economics or a related field is preferred, together with significant experience in the Water sector in Australia, New Zealand or the UK. Experience with regulatory frameworks, leading teams, professional networking and delivering quality service to customers is required. Desirable experience includes asset‑management capability assessments, transformational program delivery and asset‑management software implementation. • Hold a degree in engineering, business, economics or equivalent technical qualifications. • Possess significant Water sector experience in Australia, New Zealand or the UK and knowledge of regulatory frameworks. • Demonstrate proven team leadership, performance management and mentoring skills. • Exhibit excellent communication abilities and customer rapport. • Experience in business planning, commercial and risk management. • Desirable: asset‑management capability assessments, multi‑year transformational program delivery, and asset‑management software implementation.
