About the Role

The role requires a transportation market leader who will serve clients, lead design teams, and ensure quality production and timely delivery in a fast‑paced environment. The studio leader will work with the hire to define career goals and a growth path. Responsibilities include client representation, generating scopes, schedules and budgets, leading complex projects from concept through construction, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, producing construction documents, and mentoring staff. Travel for site visits and responding to RFQs/RFPs are also required. • Represent GFT Architecture to transportation clients and build trust. • Create project scopes, schedules, and budgets; meet or exceed performance targets. • Lead complex projects and multidisciplinary teams from concept through construction. • Produce high‑quality construction documents, specifications, estimates, and detailed drawings. • Coordinate with engineering disciplines and supervise shop drawing and RFI reviews. • Conduct code, life‑safety, and product research; ensure compliance with standards. • Travel to and lead on‑site visits as needed. • Mentor emerging architectural design staff. • Prepare proposals for RFQs, RFPs and other solicitations.

What You Bring

Required qualifications are a B.Arch or M.Arch degree, proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office, knowledge of building codes, NFPA, ADA, LEED, and strong communication and collaborative skills. Preferred qualifications include U.S. licensure, 15+ years in architectural production and 10+ years in project management. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture. • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, BlueBeam Revu, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office. • Knowledge of International Building Codes, NFPA, ADA, LEED. • Strong written and verbal communication; detail‑oriented design skills. • Ability to collaborate with staff and clients on multiple projects. • Licensed/registered Architect in the United States (preferred). • 15+ years architectural production experience (preferred). • 10+ years architectural project management experience (preferred). • Experience with SpecLink platform (a plus).
