About the Role
The Quantity Surveyor role based in Derby will be commercially managing multiple projects for Rolls‑Royce, overseeing them from inception to completion with full responsibility for commercial delivery. You will actively seek to minimise project costs while enhancing value for money and maintaining the required standards and quality for the client. • Oversee commercial aspects of construction projects, including contract administration, cost management, and financial reporting. • Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, cash‑flow projections and lead negotiations with contractors, suppliers, and consultants. • Administer NEC Option C contracts and sub‑contracts, ensure compliance, and manage dispute resolution processes. • Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks; implement cost‑control systems and conduct cost‑benefit analyses. • Lead commercial discussions, prepare monthly cost reports, cash‑flow forecasts and final accounts for senior management and client boards. • Contribute to tender assessments and pre‑construction activities, providing quality reports for senior leadership approval. • Prepare and manage sub‑contract documentation, cost reconciliation statements, and support debt recovery and retentions. • Apply NEC3 processes such as Early Warning Notices, Risk Register and Compensation Events (training provided if needed).

What You Bring
• Utilise Evolution MX or similar finance systems to produce monthly valuations, final accounts, and cost/value data. • Hold a qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management; RICS/CIOB membership preferred. • Demonstrate strong commercial acumen, proficiency in MS Office, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Exhibit high organisational and time‑management abilities, self‑motivation, problem‑solving initiative and reliability.
