About the Role

• Lead multidiscipline design teams on Pacific DoD projects. • Oversee full project lifecycle from planning to construction support, meeting scope, schedule, and budget. • Develop and review scopes, cost estimates, and schedules; monitor progress and apply corrective actions. • Coordinate internal design work and manage external subconsultants. • Act as primary client liaison, maintaining strong relationships and exceeding expectations. • Supervise and mentor geographically dispersed project teams, ensuring coordinated deliverables. • Conduct team meetings to address productivity, workload distribution, and quality control. • Provide employee development leadership, including training and performance evaluations. • Collaborate with HDR leadership to track regional workload and resource needs. • Stay current with codes, standards, and client requirements, integrating them into deliverables. • Perform quality control reviews and necessary project engineering duties. • Manage civil engineering design projects for federal agencies extensively.

What You Bring

• Possess at least 15 years of project management experience, preferably in the Pacific. • Hold a State of Hawaii Professional Engineer license (preferred). • Demonstrate strong civil engineering technical expertise, including calculations and documentation. • Familiarity with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC). • Exhibit excellent organization and time‑management, handling multiple schedules. • Ability to work from Oahu office (neighbor island candidates considered). • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. • Have 10 years of relevant experience and at least 5 years of project management. • Maintain a professional engineering license valid in the job location. • Proficient in MS Office and MS Project; Access experience a plus. • Show leadership, business development, and strategic planning abilities.
