Project Director – New Build Education Facility Southeast Asia – Initially Singapore based

About the Role

The role directs the development of strategic delivery plans, influences strategy implementation and manages key stakeholder relationships while overseeing resource allocation. It ensures company objectives are achieved in line with compliance and regulatory frameworks, promotes effective commercial practices and drives tangible operational productivity and improvement. • Direct coordination and delivery of a major project, aligning implementation with strategic vision and objectives. • Define and establish the project delivery environment, including people, processes, information, and technology. • Assemble and lead a skilled project team, securing external specialist appointments as needed. • Optimize resources to improve performance from the bid baseline and monitor activities, systems, and methodologies. • Serve as primary relationship owner for executive team engagement and ensure effective governance. • Manage key client relationships, communication, and constructive challenge (CRM). • Represent the programme externally, chair executive steering group meetings, and act as public face to stakeholders. • Lead and maintain standards for safety, quality, cost, schedule, sustainability, risk, and governance. • Deliver programme benefits and outcomes while overseeing documentation, plans, reports, and lessons learned. • Foster a high‑performing, inclusive team culture that encourages contribution and recognition. • Promote quality and service excellence throughout programme interactions. • Implement and maintain an effective risk management strategy with appropriate treatments. • Translate broader business strategy to the project team and champion related initiatives. • Leverage Mace centres of excellence and networks to support delivery and promote knowledge sharing. • Ensure commercial and ethical viability, meet compliance obligations, and support business objectives such as debt collection. • Full budgetary oversight of external project budgets and internal fee budgets. • Established industry network of clients, consultants and contractors.
