About the Role
• Interprets and applies NEC, NFPA and OSHA requirements pertaining to safe work practices. • Provides subject matter expert level analysis for application of FTI products, solutions, and/or services in the assigned focus area. Responsible for project development and design for various projects. • Maintains FTI’s competitive position and profitability by helping to create a strategic vision for the assigned focus area. • Manages engineering scope of project budget. • Effectively communicates and engages with senior management levels of both internal and external clients. • Manages project quality and incorporates technical lessons learned. • Establishes engineering standard drawing and assembly specification documents for all phases of preconstruction (conceptual through issue for construction). • Focuses on emerging technology, supplier integration, and resources to bring innovative products to market through projects & programs, resulting in accelerated revenue. • Acts as a technical liaison for all preconstruction activities: engineering, VDC and estimating. • Assists in training and coaching of cross-functional personnel. • Provides engineering guidance and critique to ensure proper risk assessment, communication, and traceability to design outputs. • Troubleshoots technical issues during project execution using prior experience with root cause analysis. • Collaborates with regional business partners to identify incremental target prospects and research needed, as well as key outreach strategies and tactics to secure new account meetings while nurturing existing relationships with clients. • Assists in development of final project proposals, scope definition, and pricing of engineering scope. • Leads technical scope of complex projects involving a team of technical staff.
