About the Role

You will act as a change agent, applying Lean methodologies to eliminate waste, and foster a continuous‑improvement culture by involving employees in problem‑solving and recognizing their contributions. You will lead day‑to‑day production activities within the value streams, track performance on communication boards, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and support nVent’s safety programs. You will manage requisitioning, training, directing, appraising, and disciplining manufacturing staff, coordinate performance management, time and attendance, and progressive discipline, and assist in developing current and future state value‑stream maps and improvement plans. Supporting the development and implementation of new processes and products, you will lead key improvement projects and facilitate work teams to solve problems and communicate with employees and management. • Drive continuous improvement and apply Lean methodologies to eliminate waste. • Foster a culture of employee involvement in problem‑solving and recognize outstanding contributions. • Lead day‑to‑day production activities within value streams and monitor performance on communication boards. • Ensure a clean, orderly, and safe work environment supporting nVent’s safety programs. • Manage recruiting, training, directing, appraising, and disciplining manufacturing staff. • Coordinate performance management, time and attendance, and progressive discipline. • Develop and implement current and future state value‑stream maps and continuous‑improvement plans. • Support the development and rollout of new processes and products. • Lead key improvement projects and facilitate cross‑functional work teams.

What You Bring

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (associate’s degree preferred), at least three years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, and one year in a leadership role. A solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts, strong written and verbal communication, conflict‑resolution skills, and the ability to work in both office and production environments are essential. • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree preferred. • Minimum 3 + years supervisory experience in manufacturing and 1 + year in a leadership role. • Demonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts. • Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to present and influence. • Effective conflict‑resolution and decision‑making skills. • Ability to work in both office and production environments, meeting physical and environmental demands.
