About the Role
The Superintendent leads, directs and coordinates subcontractors and Turner trade labor, ensuring safety, schedule delivery, quality of work, and adherence to budget. The position includes supervisory responsibility for Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, Interns and trade labor within the assigned area. • Oversee performance of work related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control and staffing levels. • Coordinate assigned trades to promote project operations and resolve local issues. • Manage the site safety program and ensure subcontractor compliance with Turner standards and safety codes. • Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and Interns, including performance appraisals. • Create schedules, determine sequencing of work, and develop recovery strategies to maintain the project schedule. • Communicate with owners and architects/engineers to investigate and resolve field issues. • Manage the billing process for Work In Place, including monthly estimates, payrolls, material invoices, and subcontractor payments. • Ensure that installed work conforms to approved contract documents.

What You Bring
The Superintendent reports to the Project Superintendent, Project Manager or Project Executive. The role is on‑site and not remote or hybrid, requiring presence in a Turner office or project location. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree and have at least four years of related construction experience, with knowledge of building construction methods, scheduling, cost control, contract documents and proficiency in Microsoft Office and EH&S applications. Strong leadership, interpersonal skills and the ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and project schedules are required. The position involves physical activities such as climbing stairs and ladders, lifting up to 50 lb, and working in construction environments with noise, fumes, weather exposure and potential electrical hazards. The role is located in Albany, NY (division New York North) and is classified as an experienced, regular, salaried exempt position. Travel is expected 10‑20% and the salary range is estimated at $81,000‑$120,000 annually.
