About the Role

The Senior Traffic Project Manager/Lead based in Denver will provide project and task management for traffic analysis and design services throughout Colorado. This position oversees the delivery of traffic engineering studies, integrates multidisciplinary inputs, and ensures timely execution of both small and large transportation projects. • Lead and mentor a team of mid‑level and junior traffic engineers on project execution. • Manage delivery of traffic engineering services across Colorado, coordinating with roadway, structural, and transit designers. • Conduct traffic studies, including data collection, microsimulation modeling, calibrations, forecasting, and alternative analysis using tools such as Synchro, VISSIM, HCS, and Sidra. • Prepare and present technical findings to internal teams, clients, and public stakeholders through reports, graphics, and memoranda. • Perform quality control reviews of engineering work and ensure compliance with AECOM and client processes. • Coordinate workload planning with Colorado office leads and traffic groups in neighboring states to optimize work‑share opportunities. • Support business development by identifying project opportunities, preparing proposals, delivering technical presentations, and assisting with recruiting efforts. • Develop scopes of work, cost estimates, and schedules in collaboration with project managers. • Implement process improvements and efficiency enhancements based on prior project experience. • Ensure project delivery aligns with budget and schedule constraints.

What You Bring

• Hold a BA/BS degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience; 15+ years preferred. • Possess a Colorado Professional Engineer license (or obtain within 6 months) and professional certifications such as PTOE; expertise in Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM, HCS, Highway Capacity Manual, HSM, MUTCD, and FHWA Traffic Analysis Toolkit.
