About the Role

The role is a senior MEP Engineer responsible for managing, evaluating, and assessing mechanical and electrical systems to ensure the project is built on time, safely, within budget, and to the contract quality. The position involves leading the project team, subcontractors, and consultants, preparing contract item lists, updating schedules, handling RFIs, and managing budgets and change orders. • Lead the Turner project team, subcontractors, owner’s consultants and representatives to ensure optimal alignment and efficient systems installation. • Prepare and manage the contract item list for all components, materials, and systems to ensure ROJ dates comply with the project schedule and approvals. • Participate in schedule update meetings and provide the latest information for an accurate schedule. • Evaluate and manage the processing of RFIs. • Manage the budget, including review, evaluation, and negotiation of all change orders, understanding subcontractors’ financial status. • Supervise, coach, and mentor Assistant MEP Engineers. • Co‑lead the MEP coordination process with the VDC Engineer to ensure installation complies with design, O&M fundamentals, and quality standards. • Prepare scope of work documents defining trade responsibilities and temporary operation scopes. • Partner with the MEP Superintendent to resolve mechanical/electrical conflicts with site logistics and schedule compliance. • Co‑lead the overall turnover process, including start‑up, testing, commissioning, and closeout. • Conduct regular project walkthroughs with MEP staff to verify work aligns with contract documents, coordination drawings, and approved submittals. • Identify and inform field staff of difficult installation requirements in time for proper planning and execution. • Manage and secure all municipal and agency documentation required for temporary certificates of information and system operation. • Create and implement the quality control plan with the MEP Superintendent.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and have at least four years of relevant experience with mechanical and electrical systems, or an equivalent combination of education and training. Required skills include technical expertise, business acumen, strong written and verbal communication, organization, computer proficiency, and leadership to develop high‑performing teams. The position demands physical abilities such as climbing stairs, ladders, and using hoists, lifting up to 50 lb, and having adequate vision and hearing. Work is performed on construction sites where employees are exposed to moving parts, heights, fumes, weather, and potential electrical hazards. The salary range is estimated at $96,000–$109,000 annually.
