About the Role

Safety is the highest priority; workers must adhere to company and OSHA safety standards and actively participate in safety meetings. Daily duties involve general labor such as cleaning, operating a forklift, handling and moving scrap material, weighing and sorting, and inspecting incoming loads while communicating with customers about acceptable material. The role also requires flexibility to cross‑train and support coworkers as needed. • Follow company and OSHA safety procedures; attend safety meetings and participate in safety programs • Perform general labor duties such as sweeping, shoveling, cleaning the warehouse, and operating a forklift • Assist warehouse associate with weighing, sorting, and moving material, including physical handling of supplies • Inspect incoming scrap and vehicles, advise customers on accepted/non‑accepted scrap, and process deductions as needed • Cross‑train in other positions, assist coworkers, and perform other duties assigned by the manager • Maintain dependable attendance and a consistent schedule

What You Bring

Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in a fast‑paced environment and be able to stand or walk for up to 12 hours while lifting up to 50 lb. At least one year of experience in a heavy‑manufacturing or warehouse setting, preferably in scrap metal or construction, is required. Reliability, adaptability to shifting priorities, and the ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays are essential.
