About the Role
As a Cleaner on the BGIS Sustainable Cleaning Solutions team, you will be responsible for maintaining a designated zone with an emphasis on quality control, health and safety, and exceeding client expectations, reporting to the Manager or Supervisor. • Clean, sweep, scrub, vacuum and mop hard surface and washroom floors using hand‑held or automatic equipment. • Strip, seal, finish and polish floors manually or with power tools. • Transport garbage, supplies and maintenance machinery between floors and job sites. • Clean glass areas, stairwells, elevator cabs and other high‑reach surfaces using ladders or scaffolding. • Load, unload and replenish cleaning solutions and supplies. • Follow chemical and equipment procedures to protect floors and fixtures. • Notify management of major repairs or system additions. • Mix cleaning solutions per specifications. • Remove snow and debris from sidewalks, driveways and parking areas using snowplows, blowers or shovels. • Perform cleaning duties in institutional environments using floor maintenance machines and appropriate materials. • Maintain cooperative relationships with staff, clients and the public. • Work weekends, holidays and variable shifts at multiple locations. • Follow verbal and written instructions; maintain manual and electronic records.

What You Bring
• Steam clean or shampoo carpets. • Apply knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS. • Lift, push, pull heavy items and climb ladders; able to lift up to 25 lb regularly. • Hold a valid Class G driver’s license and meet security‑clearance requirements.

Benefits
This is a regular full‑time position offering a salary range of $17.60 to $20.88 per hour, based on experience, education, and performance. The role requires occasional lifting or moving of up to 25 pounds and may involve accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
