About the Role
The Operator – Heavy Equipment is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment at a recycling center, landfill, or transfer station to transfer, spread, cover, load, or compact waste and soil efficiently. Key duties include performing pre‑ and post‑operation inspections of equipment, operating forklifts, excavators, bulldozers, front‑end loaders and other machinery in accordance with safety standards, monitoring waste for unacceptable materials, and ensuring equipment remains operational by cleaning tracks or wheels. Operators also perform minor service tasks, document equipment condition reports, report needed repairs, keep the shop clean, and perform any other assigned job‑related duties.

What You Bring
The role requires strong customer service, time management, follow‑through, and adherence to company policies and safety standards. Candidates must have at least two years of heavy‑equipment operation experience and one year working at OSHA‑regulated sites.
