About the Role
The role is an Applications Engineering professional focused on pre‑sales support for HVAC equipment. The engineer works closely with product teams to prepare optimized selections, technical proposals, and system configurations for new construction and retrofit projects. Core duties include interpreting specifications and drawings, generating air‑side and water‑side equipment submittals, validating system configurations, and monitoring project quality, cost, and schedule. The engineer also advises sales on application solutions, leverages competitor knowledge, and collaborates on optimization strategies using JCI software and market research. Execution involves responding to field sales inquiries, proposing solutions that meet customer requirements, developing special quotations, estimating costs and lead times, guiding the pre‑sales team on system design, and preparing compliance statements against project specifications. • Prepare optimized HVAC equipment selections and technical proposals • Provide pre‑sales support for AHUs, VAV boxes, fans, split units, and chillers • Interpret engineering drawings and generate equipment submittals • Monitor project deliverables for quality, cost, and schedule • Advise sales on system applications and create competitive solutions • Develop special quotations and compliance statements

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a BE/ME in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), possess at least five years of HVAC equipment selection experience, and have deep knowledge of AHUs, VAV boxes, split systems, chillers, and large refrigeration systems. Strong communication, problem‑solving, leadership abilities, and the capacity to work independently in a multi‑functional team are required. • Minimum 5 years experience in HVAC equipment selection and design specifications • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field • Strong knowledge of air‑side and water‑side HVAC systems • Excellent written and verbal communication with strong problem‑solving skills
