About the Role
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for daily operations of assigned projects, including attending turnover meetings between estimating and operations, scheduling and conducting kickoff meetings with field and shop management, and coordinating with drafting, project engineers, the fabrication shop, subcontractors, and vendors to keep projects on schedule. Key duties include drafting change proposals, maintaining the change‑proposal log, managing the submittal process, preparing monthly billings and pay applications, and ensuring timely collections. The manager will also monitor job‑site progress, schedules, shop production, and safety alongside the field superintendent and safety director, and lead routine meetings, site walks, BIM reviews, and project manager sessions. Additional responsibilities encompass attending bi‑monthly job cost and project review meetings, bi‑weekly labor forecast meetings, collaborating with senior leadership to align information, verifying vendor purchase orders, tracking material and equipment deliveries, updating control logs, coordinating with the BIM department, approving invoices, generating and tracking RFIs, supporting QA/QC, completing OCIP/CCIP/ROCIP forms, preparing close‑out documentation, and mentoring project engineers. The role may also include any other duties assigned by senior management. • Oversee day‑to‑day operations for assigned projects. • Conduct turnover meetings between estimating and operations. • Schedule and lead kickoff meetings, reviewing specifications, scope, and details. • Coordinate with drafting, project engineers, fabrication shop, subcontractors, and vendors to keep schedules on track. • Draft, log, and monitor change proposals weekly. • Manage the submittal process and control log for assigned projects. • Prepare monthly billings and pay applications for Houston and ensure timely collections. • Monitor job‑site progress, schedules, shop production, and safety with field superintendent and safety director. • Lead routine meetings, site walks, BIM reviews, and project manager sessions. • Attend bi‑monthly job cost and project review meetings; attend bi‑weekly labor forecast meetings. • Collaborate with vice presidents, operations managers, and field superintendents to synchronize information. • Verify vendor purchase orders with the Purchasing Department and track material/equipment deliveries. • Update control log weekly and share with field superintendent. • Work with BIM department to meet drafting schedules and address red flags with production and BIM managers. • Approve subcontractor and vendor invoices weekly. • Generate, track, and update RFIs and their status. • Support job‑site QA/QC and oversee completion of OCIP/CCIP/ROCIP forms. • Prepare close‑out documentation (as‑builts, O&M manuals, warranty letters, etc.). • Mentor and train project engineers.
