About the Role
The Artificial Intelligence Intern will assist in developing, testing, and deploying AI-driven tools, agents, and automation systems that streamline workflows, enhance engineering efficiency, and support corporate operations. You will work closely with Hadron’s AI Engineer, software development, and engineering teams to prototype internal AI solutions, integrate APIs, and explore the use of large language models (LLMs) and automation frameworks to accelerate innovation across the organization. • Research and evaluate new AI frameworks, APIs, and technologies (e.g., OpenAI, LangChain, Anthropic, Hugging Face) for potential adoption • Support the development and testing of AI tools, scripts, and automations that enhance productivity and collaboration • Prototype and deploy machine learning or natural language processing (NLP) models for internal use cases • Collaborate with the software and systems engineering teams to integrate AI features into existing tools and data systems • Analyze user feedback to improve AI model performance and tool usability • Present findings and progress in weekly project meetings • Participate in brainstorming and ideation sessions to identify high-impact automation opportunities • Assist in building and maintaining AI agents to optimize workflows across engineering, project management, and operations • Support documentation, version control, and deployment of AI-driven applications

What You Bring
Artificial Intelligence Intern – Role Description This is a full-time on-site or hybrid role for an Artificial Intelligence Intern, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The position is ideal for students or recent graduates passionate about using artificial intelligence to drive innovation, automation, and productivity within a rapidly growing clean energy company. • Strong problem-solving skills and an experimental, iterative approach to development • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field • Curiosity, creativity, and a self-starter mindset suited to a fast-paced, innovative environment • Experience working with APIs, automation tools, and AI SDKs (e.g., OpenAI API, Hugging Face, Anthropic, Zapier, Make) • Foundational understanding of machine learning, NLP, and generative AI concepts • Proficiency in Python, with familiarity using frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or LangChain • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize technical work for non-technical audiences
