About the Role

The estimator reviews project plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate and competitive proposals for commercial, industrial, healthcare, and mission‑critical projects. They calculate construction costs, consult with clients, vendors, engineers, and other stakeholders, and prepare estimates for management planning and scheduling. Additional duties include site walk‑throughs, change‑order support, value engineering analysis, bid document preparation, and participation in rollout meetings. • Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to identify bid requirements. • Calculate networking construction costs based on documents and site conditions. • Consult with clients, vendors, and internal departments to formulate estimates and resolve issues. • Coordinate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on cost estimate adjustments. • Prepare estimates for management planning, organization, and scheduling. • Attend site walk‑throughs to address field conditions affecting bids or designs. • Collaborate with estimators, project managers, and engineers on change orders and cost‑to‑complete estimates. • Analyze projects for value‑engineering opportunities considering labor and material impacts. • Prepare bid documents, scope letters, and adjustments for buy‑outs, labor rates, and productivity, identifying inconsistencies. • Assist in designing networking solutions and systems for building and pre‑construction services. • Organize and present information in rollout meetings. • Estimate projects ranging from $5 K to $5 M. • Maintain reliable transportation for occasional site visits (mileage compensated).

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent with networking field experience, or a bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related discipline, plus a minimum of seven years’ experience on networking/data projects. Preferred credentials include BICSI RCDD, and applicants should be comfortable estimating projects ranging from $5 K to $5 M. Proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel), Bluebeam, Accubid, and strong knowledge of networking materials, vendors, and construction methods are essential. Reliable transportation for occasional site visits is required, and the position is office‑based, Monday through Friday. • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent with networking experience, or a bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field. • Possess at least 7 years of relevant networking/data project experience. • Have a BICSI RCDD credential or equivalent (preferred). • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of networking materials, vendors, construction methods, and processes. • Be proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and Outlook. • Experience using Bluebeam and Accubid software. • Ability to review specifications, contracts, schedules, and assist with buy‑outs.
