About the Role
The MEP Engineer will inspect utilities, mechanical, and electrical work on job sites, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and specifications. Under general supervision, the role involves complex inspections, documentation of non-conformances, and coordination with sub‑consultants. • Perform complex inspections of utilities, mechanical, and electrical installations to verify compliance with contracts, codes, and specifications. • Document non-conformances and assist in determining corrective actions. • Maintain project office files, daily diaries, and prepare daily reports and documentation required by contracts. • Verify use of approved materials and collect certificates of compliance, inspection tags, and as-built plans. • Conduct labor compliance interviews and coordinate sub-consultants for surveying and material testing. • Provide technical guidance to junior inspectors and contribute to safety and quality control reports. • Report installed quantities for payment applications and change orders; respond to emergency call‑backs on site. • Identify potential conflicts or issues and propose solutions to supervisors.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a construction‑related field and bring at least ten years of field construction experience, especially on large mixed‑use residential or infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of engineering processes, CAD, and excellent written and oral communication skills are required, along with the ability to lead on projects. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction-related field with 10+ years of field construction experience. • Demonstrated experience on large residential/infrastructure mixed‑use projects and proficiency with CAD and engineering software. • Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to lead project teams.
