About the Role

The Technical Engineering Director will lead CQV procedures, manage third‑party efforts and collaborate closely with the QA/QC Director for a key technology client. The role demands at least 20 years of experience directing CQV professionals and a strong scientific or engineering background in CRDR, IQ, OQ and PQ. The ideal candidate is resilient, self‑starting and capable of driving initiatives with limited supervision. • Provide senior-level technical oversight and guidance for megaprojects. • Establish and enforce engineering standards, design criteria, and technical governance frameworks. • Oversee multidisciplinary engineering teams ensuring alignment with program objectives and regulatory requirements. • Lead technical risk assessments, design reviews, and constructability evaluations. • Oversee design, integration, and commissioning of electrical distribution, fiber networks, critical power, and high‑density infrastructure. • Ensure solutions meet mission‑critical requirements of data centers and semiconductor fabs. • Guide development of resilient, scalable, energy‑efficient systems. • Direct capital programs exceeding $1B covering planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover. • Partner with project directors and external engineering firms for seamless integration. • Manage technical interfaces across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, fiber, controls, and specialty systems. • Lead commissioning strategy and execution, ensuring performance validation and operational readiness. • Establish QA/QC frameworks and conduct technical audits. • Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and documentation. • Represent senior technical interests with clients, regulators, utilities, and partners. • Support compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and permitting. • Advise on technical claims, change management, and engineering disputes. • Adhere to applicable SOX control responsibilities.

What You Bring

Reporting as a senior technical leader, the Director will oversee engineering governance, commissioning, QA/QC, technical risk management and design assurance across nationwide megaprojects valued over $1 billion, ensuring safety, quality, compliance and performance. Expertise in fiber and electrical systems, as well as experience delivering data centers, semiconductor facilities or large‑scale infrastructure, is essential. • Bachelor’s (Master’s preferred) in Electrical, Fiber/Telecom or related engineering discipline. • 15+ years senior technical or engineering leadership on large‑scale capital projects. • Proven delivery of data centers, semiconductor facilities, energy systems or major infrastructure megaprojects. • Deep expertise in electrical systems, fiber networks, critical power and high‑reliability environments. • Strong background in commissioning, QA/QC, technical risk management and engineering governance. • Ability to lead multidisciplinary technical teams in fast‑paced programs. • Experience with EPC/EPCM delivery models (preferred). • Familiarity with hyperscale data center, cleanroom or high‑density industrial systems (preferred). • Professional certifications such as CxA, PMP or LEED AP (preferred).
