About the Role
Job-ID 16906, located in McPherson, KS, the Associate Process Engineer is responsible for designing, integrating, and improving manufacturing systems and processes to ensure quality, reliability, and cost effectiveness. The role focuses on process improvement by troubleshooting production problems, identifying cost-reducing opportunities, and applying continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing. The engineer provides technical expertise, supports manufacturing activities, works with suppliers on project execution, and participates in meetings and performance-evaluation discussions. • Troubleshoot production problems related to designs, materials, or processes. • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce cost and enhance quality. • Apply lean manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and Six Sigma techniques. • Provide technical manufacturing support and expertise. • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure successful project completion. • Attend required meetings and contribute to performance evaluations. • Utilize CAD software (CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and SAP/ERP systems. • Apply GD&T design techniques and develop technical drawings. • Participate in 401(k) with 7.5% company match and 22 days PTO plus holidays and volunteer days.

What You Bring
Candidates must possess knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, GD&T design techniques, CAD tools (CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD), SAP or other ERP systems, advanced mathematics, and quality-control methodologies including Kaizen, 5S, and Six Sigma. Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams under deadlines are essential. Education requirements include a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, or a related bachelor’s degree with two or more years of experience, or an associate’s degree in engineering or technology with comparable experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered. • Communicate effectively across all organizational levels. • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. • Hold a BS in Engineering or related degree with relevant experience, or equivalent education/experience combinations.
