About the Role

The role requires strong technical support, leadership on continuous‑improvement teams, management of non‑conforming material, and coordination with customer service and key suppliers. It also involves developing inspection plans, conducting audits, and maintaining knowledge of government and industry codes and standards. • Provide technical support to the Grantley Plant. • Lead and participate on continuous‑improvement teams to reduce cost of poor quality, improve first‑pass yields, increase product flow, and achieve on‑time delivery. • Support COPQ metrics and analysis; generate reporting metrics for scrap, rework, and first‑pass yield. • Manage and disposition non‑conforming material. • Facilitate and lead the Material Review Board. • Conduct measurement systems analysis and process capability studies as required. • Work with customer service to address product issues, warranty, or other problems. • Assist in developing and revising procedures and standard work to support the plant quality system. • Develop inspection plans for verification of manufactured and purchased components. • Perform first‑article dimensional reviews for internal and external parts. • Review and approve design, manufacturing, and inspection test results for compliance. • Participate in the ECN process and product team meetings to resolve quality issues. • Conduct internal quality system process audits. • Assist with supplier audits, qualification, and launch of new products through the APQP process. • Interface with key suppliers to ensure timely resolution of quality issues. • Participate in warranty reduction teams. • Conduct quality system training as required. • Maintain working knowledge of government and industry codes and standards. • Adhere to the company’s code of conduct and business ethics standards.

What You Bring

Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering (or a Journeyman Machinist) with 2‑5+ years of heavy‑industrial manufacturing experience, familiarity with ISO 9000, IATF 16949, or AS9100 quality systems, proficiency in MS Office and Minitab, and proven problem‑solving, GD&T, and leadership skills. Preferred qualifications are formal Lean or Six‑Sigma training with demonstrated results and experience in CNC machining (both CNC and manual). • Received CDP 2023 Climate Change ‘A’ List.
