About the Role
You will be expected to work with Omicron, Sverker, or Megger sustainable energy testing equipment, perform technical analysis of complete systems, and prepare system‑level evaluations. The position also involves representing PSAC on protection engineering matters, providing technical support to protection, sales and tendering teams, and acting as the focal point for customer approval activities such as Type Registration and design freezes. The role requires preparation of technical documentation including specifications, reports, diagrams, test specifications, IED configurations and design drawings, as well as participation in internal kick‑off meetings to share experience from project inception. You will contribute to conceptual and detailed design engineering, drive engineering timescales, minimise costs and uphold high quality standards throughout project delivery. • Represent PSAC on protection engineering matters and provide technical support to protection, sales, and tendering teams. • Serve as the focal point for customer approval activities, including Type Registration and project‑specific design freezes. • Evaluate customer requirements, answer technical queries, and ensure compliance with protection systems design processes. • Prepare technical documentation such as specifications, reports, diagrams, test specifications, IED configurations, and design drawings. • Participate in internal kick‑off meetings to share experience and knowledge from project start. • Conduct conceptual and detailed design engineering to deliver engineering solutions to end customers. • Drive engineering timescales, minimise costs, and maintain high quality standards throughout project delivery.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience in power systems engineering or equivalent qualifications (HNC or BTEC minimum), strong design and coordination skills, and familiarity with second‑injection test sets. Excellent communication, teamwork and collaboration abilities are essential, along with experience in the Electricity Supply Industry. • Possess 5+ years of Power Systems engineering experience or equivalent (HNC/BTEC), with strong design and coordination capabilities. • Demonstrate high technical expertise, including familiarity with second‑injection test sets and sustainable energy testing equipment. • Exhibit excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills within the Electricity Supply Industry.
